Shujaa shocks France to qualify for Singapore 7s main cup semis

Could this be 2016 all over again?
The Kenya Sevens Rugby side Shujaa, brought back memories of their sole main cup triumph at the HSBC Sevens with 10-7 win over Olympic champions France seeing them into the final four of the penultimate Sevens Series.
Kenya has great memories of Singapore, having won the country's only Sevens series title at the National Stadium in Kalang in 2016 with victory over Fiji.
On Saturday, Captain Vincent Onyala scored Shujaa's try after three minutes for a 5-0 lead following a good passing sequence.
It was well deserved for the Kenyan boys, who had dominated proceedings.
Nigel Amaitsa converted for Kenya to make it 7-0 at half time.
The French hit back in the second half through Joe Querre Karaba four minutes in as they threatened to take over the match before Amaitsa scored at the death with the final play of the game from a drop kick after the French had been found to be offside.
Kenya beat Ireland 17-7 earlier in the morning and with this result means that they lead Group B and will take part in the Cup Semis for the first time this season.
France only have one point and face Ireland in their final group match.
The cup semis take place Sunday morning.
Following Singapore, the final leg of the series will take place in Los Angeles, where the list of attendees for the upcoming season will be known.
