With the international break around the corner, English Premier League action will take centre stage, with several matches taking place this weekend. Radio Generation Sport takes a look at the upcoming clashes.

Bournemouth vs Fulham (Friday 22:00)

Bournemouth open the weekend at home against Fulham on Friday night, looking to extend their good run after going unbeaten in five of their last six league games. Fulham have struggled for consistency away from home and will be keen to make a statement at the Vitality. The hosts are without Ryan Christie and Enes Ünal, with Tavernier and Sinisterra doubtful, while Fulham may miss some key attackers. Antoine Semenyo and Evanilson will be crucial for Bournemouth, with Alex Iwobi expected to step up for the visitors.

Leeds vs Tottenham Hotspurs (Saturday 14:30)

Leeds United host Tottenham Hotspur in the early kick-off on Saruday afternoon at Elland Road, looking to build on their strong home form. Daniel Farke’s men have been tough to beat at home and will look to frustrate a Spurs side that has blown hot and cold in recent weeks. Leeds will be without Wilfried Gnonto and Junior Firpo, while Spurs continue to miss James Maddison and Cristian Romero through injury. Thomas Frank’s team, however, remain dangerous going forward, with Mohammed Kudus and Richarlison expected to lead the attack.

Arsenal vs West Ham (Saturday 17:00)

Arsenal welcome West Ham to the Emirates Stadium aiming to keep their winning momentum going after a solid run of results. Mikel Arteta’s side have been impressive at home this season, with their attacking trio of Bukayo Saka, Victor Gyokeres, and Gabriel Martinelli expected to cause problems for the Hammers. West Ham, meanwhile, will look to bounce back from recent mixed form and rely on the likes of Jarrod Bowen and James Ward-Prowse to trouble the Gunners on the break. Arsenal will be without Jurrien Timber, while West Ham continue to monitor Michail Antonio’s fitness.

Manchester United vs Sunderland (Saturday 17:00)

Manchester United will be looking to bounce back at Old Trafford after a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Brentford, where Bruno Fernandes missed a crucial penalty and the defence was repeatedly exposed. The loss piled pressure on Ruben Amorim’s side, who will be eager to respond in front of their home fans. They now face a confident Sunderland side, who have made a solid start to life back in the Premier League and will fancy their chances of causing an upset. United will be without Amad Diallo, Lisandro Martínez and Noussair Mazraoui, all sidelined through injury. Sunderland also have their share of concerns, with Dennis Cirkin nursing a wrist problem, Leo Hjelde struggling with an Achilles injury, and Reinildo suspended.

Chelsea vs Liverpool (Saturday 19:30)

The standout fixture of the weekend sees Chelsea host Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening. Liverpool are without Alisson Becker until after the international break, while Federico Chiesa remains a doubt, though Hugo Ekitike is expected to be back. Chelsea, meanwhile, will be without Cole Palmer and Tosin Adarabioyo, weakening their attacking options. Liverpool have looked sharp despite injuries, and their in-form attack will look to exploit Chelsea’s defensive gaps, especially with the hosts lacking some of their key creative players.

Aston Villa vs Burnley (Sunday 16:00)

Aston Villa welcome Burnley to Villa Park on Sunday looking to build on their recent 3–1 Premier League win over Fulham and a 2-0 Europa League victory against Feyenoord. Unai Emery’s side have had a slow start to this season's campaign and will be hoping to win against a Burnley team struggling for form. Villa will be without Tyrone Mings, Amadou Onana, Youri Tielemans, and Ross Barkley, but their attack led by Ollie Watkins and Emiliano Buendía remains dangerous. Burnley, meanwhile, have just one win and one draw from their opening six matches and will be missing Jordan Beyer and Zeki Amdouni, further weakening their depth.

Everton vs Crystal Palace (Sunday 16:00)

Everton welcome an in-form Crystal Palace side to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday in what promises to be a tight Premier League encounter. Palace are unbeaten so far this season and head into the match full of confidence after strong performances in both the league and their European debut. Everton, meanwhile, have had mixed results in recent weeks and will be without Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall through suspension and Jarrad Branthwaite due to injury. Palace also have their own injury setbacks, with Chadi Riad, Cheick Doucouré, and Caleb Kporha sidelined. Everton’s impressive home record at their new stadium gives them a boost, but Palace’s defensive solidity and attacking momentum make this a finely balanced fixture that could go either way.

Newcastle vs Nottingham Forest (Sunday 16:00)

Newcastle host Nottingham Forest on Sunday looking to build on their impressive 4-0 Champions League win over Union Saint-Gilloise. The Magpies will be without Tino Livramento for six to eight weeks due to a knee injury, while Jacob Ramsey and Yoane Wissa remain long-term absentees. Forest, under pressure after a winless run, have struggled to find consistency and remain vulnerable at the back despite their possession-based approach.

Brentford vs Manchester City (Sunday 18:30)

Brentford welcome Manchester City to the Gtech Community Stadium on Sunday, buoyed by their unbeaten home run and a recent 3-1 win over Manchester United. The Bees will be without Gustavo Gomes, though Reiss Nelson could return to the squad. City are missing Rayan Cherki, Rayan Aït-Nouri, Abdukodir Khusanov, and Omar Marmoush, but their attacking unit led by Erling Haaland and Phil Foden remains dangerous.
