Anthony Elanga scored a dream goal against his former employers Manchester United as Nottingham Forest cemented their place in the Champions League slots with a 1-0 success at the City Ground in Nottingham Tuesday night.

Elanga ran the full length of the pitch to score on just five minutes to lift Forest to 57 points from 30 played and with just eight matches left, they sit a comfortable nine points above fifth-placed Manchester City.

Elanga, who was sold by United to Forest three years ago to fund a move for the now on loan Antony, was grateful for his former employers despite the aspect of revenge featuring heavily in the day's theme.

" I'm just happy to play. I came to Forest so I could play. I learnt a lot from them, and I'm grateful, but I'm happy to just keep pushing," he told the press after the match.

Elsewhere in London, Bukayo Saka scored on his return to first-team action as Arsenal also further cemented their top four place with a 2-1 success over Fulham at the Emirates Stadium.

Saka came on as a second half substitute and scored with a smart header to turn an emotional stadium into a big party.

Saka who has been out of action since December has been badly missed by the Gunners and his quality was there for all to see at a jubilant Emirates Stadium.

"I'm honoured to play for this great football club. I'm grateful for the welcome back. It was emotional," he told the media afterwards.

Mikel Merino gave Arsenal a first half lead to help them move to 61 points nine behind leaders Liverpool who host Everton at Anfield Wednesday night.

In the night's other match, Wolves moved further away from relegation with a 1-0 success over West Ham at Molineux.

Morgen Strand Larsen was the hero on 21 minutes to hand Wolves a 12 point advantage over 18th place Ipswich Town with eight left to play this season.

Wednesday night sees six other matches played across England.
