The event, known as ‘The Roast of Bensoul,’ is part of Roast House Comedy’s growing list of live celebrity roasts.

Bensoul, the award-winning songwriter and performer, is preparing to face the fire at Roast House Comedy’s next live show, where he will be the star of a no-holds-barred roast happening on May 31.

The event, known as ‘The Roast of Bensoul,’ is part of Roast House Comedy’s growing list of live celebrity roasts, having already spotlighted notable names like Boniface Mwangi, Sanaipei Tande, Nameless, Avril, Jua Cali, and Abel Mutua.

The show, which combines humor with celebrity culture, continues to draw attention for its bold and uncensored take on Kenya’s public figures.

In a statement announcing the event, the organisers shared their excitement: "Announcing Bensoul as our official ROASTEE for the biggest Comedy Live Experience of the year — Roast House Comedy! Will he survive the heat, or get flame-grilled by the baddest comedians in the game? A night of fun, laughter & creation of nothing but good memories!”

The roast is expected to bring together a lineup of sharp-witted comedians from the Stand-Up Collective, a group known for delivering bold and creative content.

Regular faces from the collective include Doug Mutai, Ty Ngachira, Amandeep Jagde, and Justine Wanda.

Others in the lineup are Ciku Waithaka, Ruth Nyambura, George Waweru, David Macharia, Maina Murumba, John Ribia, Eric Lu Savali, Bashir Yusuf, Emmanuel Kisiangani, Maina Munene, Stan Saleh, Jack Nanjero, Davy Kimanzi, and Darren Collins.

Roast House Comedy is co-produced by Eugene Mbugua’s D&R Studios, the production house behind popular shows such as Sol Family, Kyalo Kulture, This Love, and The Real Housewives of Nairobi.

Together with the Stand-Up Collective, they have turned the roast format into a fresh and daring form of live entertainment in Kenya.

As the spotlight turns to Bensoul, fans are waiting to see how he handles the playful but biting jokes that are part of the roast tradition.

The night promises energy, laughs, and memorable moments in a format that continues to push the boundaries of comedy in the local scene.
