Musyoka’s production expertise has helped shape the careers of numerous Kenyan artists, including Ukoo Flani Mau Mau, Bamzigi, Wyre, Nameless, Peter Miles, Nonini, Kleptomaniacs, P-Unit, Juliani, Daddy Owen, Elani, Just A Band, and Sauti Sol.

One of his most iconic productions is “Ha-He” by Just A Band, which became Kenya’s first viral music video and earned considerable royalties and cultural recognition.

In addition to music production, Musyoka has contributed to the film industry through sound design and scoring for local films like Nairobi Half Life, as well as creating audio for major corporate commercials.

He studied Audio Technology at the SAE Institute of Technology in New York, where he refined his technical skills.

Early in his career, his time at Homeboyz Entertainment proved to be formative, teaching him the value of structure and professionalism in the creative business.

This experience inspired him to pursue further education and later launch his own label, Decimal Records.

In October 2023, Musyoka took on a leadership role as the chairperson of the Recording Industry of Kenya (RIKE), a trade association representing recorded music industry players in Kenya.

Under his guidance, RIKE aims to create systems that attract investor confidence, improve the management of music assets, and promote policies aligned with international standards.

Over the years, Musyoka’s work has earned him several accolades, including the Best Producer award at the 2006 Kisima Music Awards.

His collaboration on Ukoo Flani Mau Mau’s “Punchlines Kibao” helped the group win Best Hip Hop Song at the same event.

Through his dedication, innovation, and leadership, Eric Musyoka has played a crucial role in defining Kenya’s music scene, nurturing talent, and championing industry reforms.
