Halle Bailey gets restraining order against ex-boyfriend DDG

According to court documents filed in Los Angeles, Bailey detailed a pattern of abuse, including a violent incident in January 2025 during a custody exchange.
Actress and singer Halle Bailey has obtained a temporary restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, rapper and YouTuber DDG (Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.), following serious allegations of physical, emotional, and verbal abuse during their relationship and after their breakup.
According to court documents filed in Los Angeles, Bailey detailed a pattern of abuse, including a violent incident in January 2025 during a custody exchange.
She alleges that DDG pulled her hair and slammed her face into a steering wheel, causing a chipped tooth and visible bruising.
Photographic evidence of the injuries was submitted to support her claims.
The restraining order, which also protects their one-year-old son, Halo, prohibits DDG from coming within 100 yards of Bailey and the child.
A court hearing to determine further action is scheduled for June 6, 2025.
Bailey also accused DDG of entering her home without permission in March, destroying her Ring camera, and sending her a photo of her bed accompanied by a threatening message.
She claims he has used his social media platforms to harass her, encouraging followers to attack her online, which has led to threats and increased fear for her and her son’s safety.
In her filing, Bailey expressed deep concern that DDG might attempt to kidnap their child. She is seeking full custody of Halo while she travels to Italy for a filming project.
Additionally, she has asked the court to suspend DDG’s visitation rights and to order him into a 52-week Batterer Intervention Program. Bailey also requested a ban on DDG making any public comments about her or their child.
As of now, DDG has not made a public statement regarding the allegations.
The restraining order remains in effect until the upcoming hearing.
