Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba and Attorney-General Dorcas Oduor have made a series of appointments and reappointments to various education institutions and statutory bodies through a gazette notice dated  September 26, 2025.

The changes affect key councils and boards that oversee national examinations, special education, biosafety, teacher training and legal education.

Ogamba appointed Zephania Koech as a member of the Kenya National Examinations Council for a four-year term starting September 26, 2025.

At the Kenya Institute of Special Education, Kennedy Otieno, Stephen Kubai and Josephat Kemboi were appointed as members of the Council under different provisions of the Education Order for a further three years.

In the same notice, Saida Ali Aden was reappointed for another three-year term.

At the Centre for Mathematics, Science, and Technology Education in Africa, Ogamba has reappointed Dr. Pius Kimani Mutisya as Chairperson of the Board of Governors for a three-year term.

New board members were also appointed for the same period. They include Dr. Florah Fedha, Dr. Joseph Wambua, Allan Sitima, Abdijibar Sanay, Jenniffer Bosibori, Joseph Magudah Okhaba, Betty Abiero and Tom Ngeri.

At the Kenya Education Management Institute, the Education Cabinet Secretary also made a three-year appointment to the Council, effective 26th September 2025.

Separately, under the Biosafety Act, Dr. Lucy Jepchoge Rono was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Biosafety Authority for a three-year term effective August 29, 2025.

Attorney-General Dorcas Oduor made appointments to the Board of the Kenya School of Law under the Kenya School of Law Act.

Bernard Kipkoech Ngetich and Dr. Tom Ratemo were appointed to serve for a four-year term starting  September 26,  2025.

Earlier on September 17, Oduor also appointed Dr. Tom Ratemo and Bernard Kipkoech Ngetich as members of the Board of Directors under separate provisions of the Act.
