Police officers in Murang’a South Sub-County stopped an attempt to sneak narcotics into Kenol Law Courts on the afternoon of Thursday, 25th September 2025.
While conducting a routine check of the court’s holding cells, court orderlies from Kenol Police Station arrested a suspect found with 71 rolls of bhang, five sachets of kuber, and 18 tablets of cosmos.
The suspect was immediately taken to Kenol Police Station and placed in custody, pending processing and arraignment in court.
The discovery has drawn attention to the ongoing efforts by traffickers to push drugs even into judicial spaces, and the importance of routine checks in maintaining safety within court facilities. It also served as a reminder of the risks faced by officers and court staff when dealing with detainees.
According to a statement by the National Police Service, the incident was handled swiftly by officers on duty.
