A full roster of action in the preliminary first round of the CAF Champions League football takes place this weekend, 19 to 21 September 2025 with three matches lined up on Friday to get the action underway.

For Kenyan football fans, Saturday 20 September will see Kenya Police FC, who are the reigning Kenya Premier League champions battle Mogadishu City Club from Somalia in their first leg encounter at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Before then, three matches will be lined up Friday across the African continent.

Friday action in the CAF Champions League

Dadje (Benin) V Al Ahly Tripoli (Libya) 5 PM Kenyan time

The champions of Benin host the champions of Libya in the first leg encounter at the Stade De Kegue in Lome Togo hoping to press home any sort of advantage to carry to the second leg next week in Tripoli.

Wiliete (Angola) V Young Africans (Tanzania) 6 PM Kenyan time

Yanga as they are famously referred to from Dar Es Salaam, travel to Luanda for a match they will be hard pressed to pick up a result in, especially with their rivals Simba SC also in action this weekend. Kick off will be at the 11 November Stadium.

African Stars (Namibia) V Vipers FC (Uganda) 7 PM Kenyan time

African Stars from Namibia welcome Ugandan champions Vipers to Windhoek as they seek a first leg advantage to take back home to Kampala. Kick off will be at 7 PM Kenyan time live from the Sam Nujoma Stadium.
