Eight matches will be played across the African continent in World Cup Qualifying on Monday.

Only two matches were played Sunday as Gabon beat Kenya 2-1 in Nairobi and Eswatini drew 3-3 with Mauritius in Malabo.

On Monday, Kenya will have interest in Group F action as the Ivory Coast host the Gambia in Abidjan. The match kicks off at 10 pm local time.

The Ivorians are second in the group with 13 points, two behind Gabon in top spot with 15. A win will see them back on top.

However they face a Gambia outfit that will be surely kicked out of qualifying with a loss. They only have four points with five matches left to play so a win is vital.

Elsewhere, in group A, Ethiopia host Djibouti in a horn of Africa derby in Addis Ababa.

Both sides have struggled in the qualifiers so far, not picking up any win at all.

In another group A clash, Burkina Faso travel to Bissau to face Guinea Bissau knowing a win will cut the deficit over leaders Egypt who have 13 points. The Burkinabe have eight.

In group H, Tunisia play host to Malawi seeking to extend their stay at the top of the standings. With 13 points from five fixtures, they are two behind second placed Namibia who host Equatorial Guinea in Windhoek.

Liberia tackle São Tomé and Príncipe in the other group match. Liberia has seven points while Malawi and Equatorial Guinea share six points.
