The Kenya Premier League's utmost fixture takes place on Sunday in Nairobi when Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards clash in the highly-anticipated Mashemeji Derby at the Nyayo Stadium.

Gor and Leopards battle as the Green Army seek to bridge the gap between them and current leaders Tusker FC at the top of the KPL log.

Leopards, on the other hand, know three points will give their slim title hopes a major boost.

Ingwe coach Fred Ambani, who was appointed in December, will be taking part in his first derby but says he is confident that Leopards have what it takes to push Gor to the limit.

"We are not out of the race. If we beat Gor, we are in the title race," said Ambani.

Currently, Leopards have 36 points, 11 less than log leaders Tusker FC. They however have two games in hand and Ambani knows the situation can change with a win.

"It is a tough game but we have to win it if we want to compete for the title," Ambani told Radio Generation Sport.

The match kicks off at 4 pm local time.
