Preparations are complete for President William Ruto’s upcoming development visit to Narok County later this month, Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu has confirmed.

The announcement comes shortly after the President wrapped up a five-day working tour of the Mt. Kenya region, signaling what seems to be a shift in political strategy aimed at quelling dissenting voices.

“We’re fully prepared to host President Ruto in Narok. He’s bringing significant development opportunities, and I encourage our residents to turn out in large numbers to welcome him,” Governor Ntutu stated.

President Ruto is set to embark on a development tour on April 28th and 29th.

One of the major highlights of his visit will be the launch of an international airport project aimed at enhancing tourism in the Maasai Mara region.

Once completed, the Narok-based airport will allow tourists to fly in directly, eliminating the need to pass through Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

“I asked the President for one thing—to give us an international airport. We want our tourists to fly directly from their countries to Narok without going through Nairobi,” added Ole Ntutu.

The President is also expected to visit Suswa, located in Narok East Constituency, where he will officially commission a number of market development initiatives.

Governor Ntutu termed the visit as an inclusive outreach effort, noting that it comes in the wake of the recent political handshake between the ODM and UDA parties.

“This is a unified approach; even Raila Odinga’s supporters are expected to attend, as we are now embracing a more inclusive, broad-based political direction,” Ntutu said..

President Ruto is also scheduled to visit Kilgoris Constituency, where the construction of the Kilgoris-Angaga road remains incomplete.
