The Inclusive National Justice, Economic & Civic Transformation (INJECT) party, under the leadership of Morara Kebaso, has voiced dissatisfaction with one of its allies within the opposition coalition.

The opposition voices in the country are being led by People’s Liberation Party (PLP) leader Martha Karua, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Wiper party’s Kalonzo Musyoka, and Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) leader Eugene Wamalwa.

Posting on his official X account on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, Morara hinted at a possible break from the opposition.

He added that his party could no longer align itself with leaders who promote tribalism in their words, actions, and strategies.

Morara also made it clear that his party would only collaborate with other leaders and political groups if their values aligned with its own.

Without mentioning any names, Morara revealed that the INJECT Party had privately and respectfully expressed its disappointment with a particular opposition partner and was hopeful for some changes soon.

"Our party has struggled to remain aligned with leaders who promote tribalism in their words, actions, and strategies. We firmly reject tribal hatred as a foundation for political transformation," stated Morara.

"We are open to working with other leaders and political parties, but only if their values align with ours. Simply saying ‘Ruto must go’ is not enough, we must envision and actively build a future beyond Ruto. We have communicated our concerns to one of our opposition partners in a respectful manner and look forward to seeing meaningful change soon."
