Nicholas Ogolla appointed as new secretary-general of transport workers union
Ogolla steps in to replace Dan Mihadi, who has been suspended from his duties with immediate effect.
The Transport Workers Union Kenya has named Nicholas Ogolla as the interim Secretary-General, with the appointment taking effect immediately.

In a letter sent to the Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU), the union stated, “We are pleased to announce the appointment of Nicholas Ogolla as the Acting General Secretary. This follows the suspension of Dan Mihadi in accordance with the union’s internal procedures.”
The Union highlighted that Ogolla brings a wealth of experience in labor representation, organizational leadership, and championing workers’ rights.
They also confirmed that the leadership change was carried out in accordance with the Union’s constitution and by-laws, with full approval from both the Union’s Central Council and the Registrar of Trade Unions Kenya.
