Muslim Bikers UK bring aid to Garissa communities in cross-country humanitarian mission

The delegation was received by Garissa County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Livestock and Agriculture, Milgo Keinan, and the Director of Donor Coordination, Dubow Mohamed.
The County Government of Garissa has welcomed a delegation from Muslim Bikers UK and Mission Relief UK, who are on a cross-country humanitarian mission to support vulnerable communities across Kenya.
The delegation was received by Garissa County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Livestock and Agriculture, Milgo Keinan, and the Director of Donor Coordination, Dubow Mohamed.
Said Mabrouk, a board member of Mission Relief, and Hamza Ahmed, the CEO and Founder of the UK-based humanitarian organization, led the team during a courtesy call at the Garissa County Headquarters.
They were accompanied by senior members of Muslim Bikers UK, whose participation has drawn international attention to this journey of compassion and solidarity.
The team’s route spans from Nairobi to Mombasa, passing through Meru, Isiolo, Modogashe, Baraki, Biobombi, and Malindi.
Covering hundreds of kilometers, they are delivering essential food supplies, medical kits, and other critical aid to underserved populations.
Speaking during the visit, CECM Milgo Keinan hailed the initiative as a symbol of unity and global cooperation.
"We are deeply grateful for this kind gesture. This collaboration reflects the spirit of humanity and togetherness that transcends borders," said Milgo.
Communities in Modogashe and Baraki within Garissa County are among the direct beneficiaries. These areas have long faced harsh climatic conditions and limited access to basic services, making the intervention both timely and impactful.
The County Government reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with global humanitarian organizations to improve livelihoods in hard-to-reach areas and promote sustainable development.
As of Thursday evening, the Muslim Bikers UK and Mission Relief UK had raised £41,968.22 (Sh7.3 million) of their £50,000 (Sh7.8 million) campaign target.
The funds support a unique initiative where a team of bikers traveled from the UK to Kenya and will ride across the country to deliver vital aid.
The two-week humanitarian ride is more than an adventure; it is a mission rooted in compassion and service.
Despite the rugged terrains and unpredictable weather they face, the team remains steadfast in their resolve to bring hope and assistance to those most in need.
According to Mission Relief the funds raised will support several key initiatives. Families facing hunger will receive essential food parcels, while clean water access will be improved through the construction of wells.
The charity organization focused on alleviating suffering and saving lives across the globe said orphaned children will benefit from sponsorship and feeding programs that provide education and daily meals.
“Women and girls will receive hygiene packs to support their health and dignity. Struggling Muslim families will be assisted through Zakat support,” it said.
“Additionally, funds will help build mosques to serve as centers for worship and community development,” it added.
Kenya continues to face major development challenges, particularly in rural and marginalized regions. Persistent poverty, prolonged droughts, limited access to clean water, and fragile healthcare and education systems have left many communities in dire need.
Women and girls are particularly affected, often lacking access to menstrual hygiene products and essential healthcare.
