Top government officials given deadline to submit performance reports

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has giveb an 18-day deadline to top government officials to submit their annual consolidated performance reports.

In a notice dated Tuesday, March 18, the PSC directed Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, the Solicitor General, and Vice-Chancellors of public universities to comply with the reporting requirements.

Other officials affected by the deadline include heads of statutory commissions & authorities, state corporations, Semi-Autonomous Government Agencies (SAGAs) and Chief Executive Officers of Constitutional and Independent Offices.

The circular emphasizes adherence to constitutional and legislative requirements, directing institutions to submit their Annual Consolidated Performance Report for the 2023/2024 financial year.

The commission also outlined guidelines for compiling and submitting the reports, emphasizing that both individual officers and their respective institutions must provide the required documentation.

The deadline for submission to the PSC is set for April 4.

Furthermore, the PSC has introduced a standardized submission deadline for all public institutions and officers moving forward.

"Going forward, institutions will be required to submit the Annual Consolidated Performance Report to the Commission by August 31 of each year," the circular stated.
