Shabana face title-chasing Gor Mahia at Gusii Stadium

K’Ogalo, on 50 points will be looking climb the League's summit with a win over fourth-place ToreBobe who are on 46.

After 28 games, Sinisa Mihic's side sit two points adrift current leaders Police FC, who will play twelfth-place Kariobangi Sharks at the Machakos Stadium at 2 pm.

Ahead of the the crucial fixture, however, there were concerns over security as fan trouble arose at the Gusii Stadium.

A section of fans were seen hurling objects as a stampede reportedly left several fans injured at the stadium.

While Shabana players had begun their warm-up, Gor Mahia's squad was yet to appear on the pitch at the time of this report.

It is not yet clear whether or not the fixture will be played as planned.

Over the week, Shabana FC Secretary General Elizaphan Kerama has promised football fans that there will be no security gaps in today's match against Gor Mahia at the Gusii Stadium.

Kerama says they are fully aware of what to expect from the fans of the two clubs in the highly publicised clash. 

"Let the fans be assured that all is well, we have put in proper arrangements to ensure everything will be smooth on the big day. We want the game to be entertaining, and safety has to come first," said Kerama.
