Matters are getting saucy between Italian Serie A sides Inter Milan and Como over the services of head coach Cesc Fabregas.

The former Arsenal, Barcelona, and Chelsea midfielder is currently the head coach of Italian side Como and led them last season as they secured their place in the top flight for next season.

With his stellar job obvious to see, UEFA Champions League finalists Internazionale are now after his services, as reported by a number of European media outlets.

Inter are looking to replace Inzaghi who has joined Saudi side Al Hilal in a record-breaking deal.

Inter Milan have made initial contact with Cesc Fabregas over potentially becoming their next head coach, according to Sky in Italy.

Fabregas is, however, understandably not up for Sale, with Como and its management team not entertaining any ideas of the Spanish World Cup winner leaving.

Como president Mirwan Suwarso: “We have a long-term project and Cesc Fabregas is a crucial part of it. He won’t leave the club”, he told reporters in London on Wednesday, where Fàbregas and Suwarso outlined their exciting plans for Como 1907 in front of a packed out crowd at a football business conference.

However, hours later, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Fabregas met Inter bosses still in London to discuss a potential deal.

"After initial talks tonight, Cesc Fabregas and Inter will discuss again on Thursday in order to make final decision. Como insist on their position, not giving a green light to the move at current stage. Up to the Spanish manager now," he stated.

Fabregas and Marseille boss Roberto Di Zerbi were the initial favourites for the job but it seems Inter have settled on Fabregas.
