Manchester City to sign Algeria fullback Ait Nouri from Wolves

Ait Nouri, who was born in France but represents the country of his parents' birth, Algeria, turns 24 on June 6 and is expected to boost the Citizens.
Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers' Algerian international winger Rayan Ait Nouri.
Ait Nouri, who was born in France but represents the country of his parents' birth, Algeria, turns 24 on June 6 and is expected to boost the Citizens, who are looking to rebuild after a season in which they were way off the English Premier League title-challenging pace.
The transfer fee is expected to be in the region of £34 million (Approx Sh5.6 Billion), which is what Wolves were alleged to be looking for from his transfer.
Man City would like to have Ait Nouri in their squad at the Club World Cup. But it is understood City will not rush any deals over the line ahead of the early summer window's June 10 deadline for the sake of the tournament in the USA.
Ait Nouri has one year left on his contract, and Wolves have an option for a further year.
"Rayan Aït-Nouri to Manchester City, here we go! Agreement club to club done today for total fee close to €40m," transfers expert Fabrizio Romano said on X
"Understand medical tests will take place on Saturday. The left-back accepted City project earlier this week, as revealed and medical will take place this weekend."
Ait Nouri moved to the Molineux from French side Angers in 2020 and has made 157 appearances for Wolves, scoring 12 and setting up 19.
He can operate as a traditional fullback as well as at wingback.
