Kenya Police captain Ochieng celebrates KPL title 13 years after last winning with Tusker

It was the first KPL title ever for the Kenya Police side and Ochieng's second and he was happy to relive the winning feeling, dedicating the title to his mother.
Kenya Police FC captain David Cheche Ochieng says that he is grateful to win the Kenya Premier League title 13 years on from the last time he won it with Tusker FC.
Ochieng was the man of the moment on Sunday at the Ulinzi Stadium in Nairobi as he was privileged to hoist high the KPL trophy upon completion of the league season, where they finished five points ahead of second-place Gor Mahia.
It was the first KPL title ever for the Kenya Police side, and Ochieng's second,d and he was happy to relive the winning feeling, dedicating the title to his mother.
"I thank God for this win because it has been 13 years since I won the last title. It shows that I have been working hard and staying disciplined," he told Nation Africa.
Police lost only four of their 34 games all season, thanks in large part to Cheche and his defensive prowess, and they will now look forward to the CAF Champions League, where he has played before.
Police have already declared that they will bolster their squad, their chairperson, Nyale Munga, saying that there will be a concerted effort to improve the squad ahead of the new season.
