148 apply for vacant Gor Mahia coaching job

Over 500 persons showed interest in the vacant coaching staff positions at Gor Mahia.
According to Gor Secretary General Nicholas Arum, the club has been overwhelmed by the interest shown in the positions that were declared vacant following the sacking of the entire technical bench by the clubs management two weeks ago.
He announced Monday that some 148 coaches have applied for the vacant head coach role at Kenya’s most decorated club Gor Mahia FC. According to Arum, several foreign coaches some Europe-based, have submitted their credentials.
Some of the persons who applied, have handled the club in the past.

The club aims to have the new technical team in place promptly to begin preparations for the upcoming season.
“We have reviewed all the submissions and will be considering 247 qualified applications following another round of review. From this pool, we will select the most suitable candidates for interviews across the eight advertised positions. Time is of the essence—we must begin our pre-season preparations in time without delay,” Arum told Citizen Digital.
