Liverpool openly salivate at Alexander Isak, but will Newcastle United sell him?

Isak scored 23 goals for Newcastle last term and is considered one of the hottest strikers in the Premier League and all of Europe
Liverpool are interested in taking Sweden striker Alexander Isak from Newcastle United and are prepared to strike a deal this summer if allowed to, reports in England have suggested.
The English Premier League champions are looking to improve their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season knowing all too well that rivals Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle themselves are investing already in a bid to elevate their respective squads.
Reports emanating out of Merseyside openly state that Liverpool see Isak as the man to keep them competitive as they hope to retain their league title.
"Liverpool make approach to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United. Liverpool have yet to bid and are aware that Newcastle's stance has always been clear. Isak is not for sale. Liverpool have communicated their interest to do a deal in the region of 120 million Pound Sterling, David Ornstein of the Athletic said Tuesday on his X page.
Newcastle are interested in signing Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike but that move is not linked to Isak's future, reports stated.
According to the BBC, Newcastle are not in any mood to discuss Isak's sale and that has been their position for a long time.
"The message is still that Isak is not for sale. Newcastle are determined to keep him and don't need to sell for financial reasons. They are in the Champions League next season and want to be competitive in the league and all the cups so, even before Callum Wilson left, they were always going to need another striker, Mathew Raisbeck from BBC Newcastle offered when probed on the matter.
Born and raised in Solna, Sweden, Isak started his professional career with boyhood club AIK in 2016 and then represented Borussia Dortmund and Willem II before signing with Real Sociedad in 2019. In 2022, he signed with Newcastle United for a club record fee.
