Gor Mahia defender Ronney Onyango is set for move out of the Kenyan Premier League club, he has announced.

The well regarded Onyango, who is also a member of the national team Harambee Stars will join Swedish second tier outfit Sogndal Fotball.

Onyango, who had before the recent international break traveled to Europe to seal the deal, announced on his Instagram page that he has embarked on a new journey and wished his old club Gor success as they continue to chase local and continental honours.

"Saying goodbye is not easy, and I leave with a heart full of gratitude. Together, we won the FKF KPL and the Charity Shield Cup and made memories I will cherish forever," he said.

"To the fans, thanks for your unwavering support. Your passion made every match memorable. To my teammates, my brothers, keep pushing and making history. To the coaches and staff, your hard work made this all possible and I'm forever grateful," he added.

Gor take on rivals AFC Leopards in the Kenya Premier League on Sunday at the Nyayo Stadium as they look to keep up with current log leaders Tusker FC and the chasing Kenya Police.
