The CAF Champions League 2025/26 season begins this weekend, with several matches on the cards across the continent in the first preliminary round of the competition.
In Kenya, Mogadishu City Club and Kenya Police FC will battle at the Nyayo National Stadium in a two legged affair that will take place on 20th and 28th September 2025. The winner will proceed to a second round clash versus either South Sudan's Janus FC or Al Hilal of Sudan.
Police will hope to be the first Kenyan club to make it to the group stage of the Champions League and eventually the first to win the richest prize in African football.
This year, the winner will pocket USD 4 million, which is the equivalent of just over Ksh 500 million. Some reward!
