There will be three matches on the cards in the Kenyan Premier League Wednesday afternoon, as the top flight division continues to pick up pace, just over two weeks since it begun in earnest.
So far, the only two clubs that are yet to take to the field, Nairobi United FC and Kenya Police FC will be in action, following the conclusion of their continental assignments.
Nairobi United are in Awendo this evening to take on Mara Sugar FC, who are winless this season. The match will be live from 2 PM at the Awendo Green Stadium, as the Naibois attempt to get their season underway
They have had a superb start to the season, qualifying for the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup after seeing off Uganda's NEC FC 3-3 on aggregate in their preliminary round qualifiers.
A win will be huge for whichever team can collect it, to kickstart their season.
At Dandora Stadium, Tusker FC will host Mathare United in what promises to be an interesting encounter full of attacking football, as both clubs prefer to play on the front foot. Tusker have lost both their matches this season, leaving head coach Charles Okere under severe pressure to deliver a win this afternoon.
The brewers will be eyeing three points to resurrect their season and stop what will surely be a huge problem for coach Okere, whose head is already on the line.
At the Police Sacco Stadium, the law enforcers derby will be on the cards, with Kenya Police FC taking on Ulinzi Stars at the Police Sacco Stadium in Nairobi's South C area. The match will provide an opportunity for Police to collect three points and allow them start the season on a better note, having already begun the season on a high in the CAF Champions League, following a 3-3 aggregate success over Mogadishu City Club.
The match will kick off at 4 PM.
So far, only Shabana and Posta Rangers have collected six points from their two matches. Nairobi United and Police will be hoping to join them.
