Kenyan international Timothy Ouma featured the full 90 minutes as Polish side Lech Poznan produced a commanding performance to beat Rapid Vienna 4-1 in a UEFA Conference League group stage clash played on Thursday night at the Enea Stadion in Poznań.

Ouma featured the full 90 minutes for the Polish side in central midfield as a deep lying centre field player.

Luis Palma opened the scoring for the home side with a composed finish after being set up by a flowing move that cut through Rapid’s defense. Eight minutes later, captain Mikael Ishak doubled the lead, again assisted by Palma, leaving Rapid Vienna stunned at 2-0 down before the half-hour mark.

Nigerian winger Taofeek Ismaheel struck from close range after another incisive attack, making it 3-0 and effectively killing off Rapid who responded through Andrija Radulovic to pulled one back, finishing off a cross from Jannes-Kilian Horn.

However, any momentum for the visitors was short-lived. Substitute Leo Bengtsson restored Lech’s three-goal cushion in the 77th minute after being set up by Ismaheel on the counterattack, sealing a comprehensive 4-1 victory for the Polish side.

Harambee Stars man Ouma, is a versatile defensive midfielder currently playing for Lech Poznań in Poland, having joined on loan from Slavia Prague in 2025. In his last completed season (2024/25), he had limited play but was involved in the Europa League competition.
