Nairobi United's strong start to the season came to an abrupt end in Murang'a as Bidco United scored early through Herman Ngala to condemn the Naibois to a 1-0 loss in a Kenyan Premier League match Monday afternoon at the San Sebastian grounds.
The second minute goal by Ngala, assisted by Victor Kunyili, ensured that Bidco, who shocked Gor Mahia by the same scoreline in their season opener, collected the three points to give them a dream start to the campaign.
Kunyili was the man of the moment, beating a number of defenders, before leaving Lennox Ogutu for dead and setting up Ngala who did the rest with some players yet to even touch the ball.
Isaac Omweri had the best opportunity of the match for Nairobi United but he could not convert his header from close range as the score remained 1-0 to the end of the match.
The result propels Bidco to fourth place in the table with six points, while Nairobi United sit 13th with three points from two matches played, as the Kenya Premier League pauses for the FIFA international break.
Bidco, who survived relegation by the skin of their teeth last season, will be delighted with their start to the season.
