These changes mark a continued push by the government to re-align leadership in state agencies with a focus on service delivery and accountability.

Cabinet Secretaries for Treasury and Education have made fresh changes to leadership in key public boards, revoking appointments and making new ones across the procurement, pensions, and education sectors.

The changes were announced in a gazette notice dated July 4,  2025 and took effect immediately.

Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi revoked the appointment of Dr Susan N. Mambo as a member of the Public Procurement Administrative Review Board.

“The appointment of Susan N. Mambo (Dr.) is revoked,” stated the notice signed by Mbadi.

In the same notice, Mbadi appointed Hussein Dado as the new non-executive chairperson of the Public Service Superannuation Fund Board of Trustees. He will serve in the role for three years.

“I appoint Hussein Dado to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Public Service Superannuation Fund Board of Trustees,” read the statement.

In the education sector, Education Cabinet Secretary Migos Ogamba appointed Henry Anyona to the board of the Jomo Kenyatta Foundation for a term of three years. His appointment replaces that of Consolata Rop, which has been revoked.

“I appoint Henry Anyona as a member of the board of Jomo Kenyatta Foundation,” stated Ogamba in the notice.

The Public Procurement Administrative Review Board handles disputes in the procurement process, while the Public Service Superannuation Fund oversees pensions for public officers. The Jomo Kenyatta Foundation supports education through scholarship programmes and book publishing.

These changes mark a continued push by the government to re-align leadership in state agencies with a focus on service delivery and accountability.
