TSC opens over 21,000 teaching and leadership vacancies across Kenya

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced a major recruitment drive with 21,313 vacancies available for various teaching and curriculum support roles across Kenya.
This recruitment aims to fill critical gaps in schools and teacher training colleges, following the Career Progression Guidelines for teachers and Curriculum Support Officers.

The vacancies span a wide range of positions, reflecting the diverse needs of the education sector. For leadership roles, there are 99 Chief Principal posts in regular schools and six in teacher training colleges (TTCs). Senior Principals have 490 vacancies in regular schools and six in TTCs.
The position of Principal has 674 vacancies in regular schools and two in Special Needs Education (SNE) institutions.
Deputy Principal II roles include 971 in regular schools, 15 in TTCs, and four in SNE, while Deputy Principal III posts number 847 in regular schools.
In academic leadership and teaching, Senior Lecturers are sought with 23 vacancies at TTCs, along with Senior Lecturer II (44 posts), Senior Lecturer III (43 posts), and Senior Lecturer IV (59 posts) also in TTCs. Senior Masters have 737 regular school vacancies and 3 in SNE.
Senior Masters IV have 850 posts in regular schools. Secondary Teacher I (Diploma level) positions total 994 in regular schools. Senior Teacher I roles stand at 3,244 in regular schools and 141 in SNE, while Senior Teacher II positions number 4,683 in regular schools and 188 in SNE.
Curriculum Support Officers also feature prominently, with 19 Senior Curriculum Support Officer posts, 56 Curriculum Support Officer I posts, 111 Curriculum Support Officer II posts in regular schools, and 134 in SNE.
