In Summary

The showdown between Madagascar and Morocco will not only crown the champions but also deliver an entertainment experience unlike any other, with over four hours of nonstop performances from East Africa’s biggest stars.

Nairobi is set for a historic evening this Saturday as football and music blend into one grand spectacle during the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) final at Kasarani Stadium.

The showdown between Madagascar and Morocco will not only crown the champions but also deliver an entertainment experience unlike any other, with over four hours of nonstop performances from East Africa’s biggest stars.

The final will see Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo, Tanzania’s Zuchu, and Kenya’s Savara light up the stage in a high-energy show designed to match the magnitude of the football on the pitch.

Organisers have promised fans the greatest concert-style experience in the region, transforming Kasarani into a festival ground where sport meets music.

From 2pm, gates will open to welcome thousands of fans already rushing for tickets, most of which are close to selling out. Inside the stadium, a specially constructed stage, dazzling light displays, and fireworks will create an electrifying atmosphere as the two teams fight for continental glory.

Ugandan hitmaker Eddy Kenzo is expected to kick off the performances with his crowd-moving anthems, while Tanzanian star Zuchu will take over with her powerful vocals and vibrant style.

Kenya’s Savara will complete the trio, giving the home crowd a reason to cheer as music unites fans from across the region.

“The entertainment will match the magnitude of the football final,” organisers assured, promising a send-off worthy of the tournament’s spirit.

The build-up has already been charged with excitement despite Kenya’s quarterfinal exit after losing to Madagascar in a penalty shootout.

The atmosphere in the city has remained alive, with fans embracing both the football action and the cultural celebration around the tournament.

As Morocco seeks a record third CHAN title and Madagascar hopes to crown their fairytale run, the spotlight at Kasarani will be equally on the pitch and the stage.

While football will provide the drama, it is the music, lights, and fireworks that are expected to seal CHAN 2024 as a night to remember.
