In Summary

Born on May 4, 2021, to Malian parents Halima Cissé and Abdelkader Arby, the siblings hold the world record for the most children delivered at a single birth to survive.

The world’s only surviving nonuplets—five girls and four boys—have just turned four years old, marking an extraordinary milestone celebrated by their family and Guinness World Records.

Born on May 4, 2021, to Malian parents Halima Cissé and Abdelkader Arby, the siblings hold the world record for the most children delivered at a single birth to survive.

The nonuplets—named Adama, Oumou, Hawa, Kadidia, Fatouma, Bah, Mohamed, El Hadji, and Oumar—were delivered prematurely at just 30 weeks via cesarean section in Morocco, where Halima had been flown for specialized care.

At birth, they weighed between 1.1 and 2.2 pounds, requiring intensive medical attention.

The family remained in Morocco for 19 months before returning home to Mali.

To celebrate the children's fourth birthday, the Arby family hosted a grand party.

Dressed in matching lilac outfits and colorful beads, the children enjoyed a festive celebration filled with joy, laughter, and love.

The family shared their gratitude for the support they’ve received and spoke about the joys and challenges of raising nine young children at once.

Halima and Abdelkader are also parents to a six-year-old daughter, Souda.

Guinness World Records commemorated the occasion with touching tributes and new photographs, showcasing how the children have grown and thrived over the years.

The organization highlighted the resilience and strength of the family, applauding their remarkable journey.

While other nonuplet births have been reported in history,b none of the children survived.

This makes the Arby family’s story not only historic but also deeply inspiring—a symbol of hope, love, and perseverance.

The celebration has captured hearts around the world, reminding us of the miracles that can come with modern medicine, determination, and family support.
