U.S. Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has stirred controversy online after suggesting that Israel may have been involved in the assassination of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy, citing his opposition to the country's nuclear ambitions.

In a statement shared on Tuesday, Greene claimed that Kennedy was targeted because he stood against Israel’s nuclear programme. “There was once a great president that the American people loved.

He opposed Israel’s nuclear program. And then he was assassinated,” said the congresswoman.

Greene’s comments came as she responded to Fox News host Mark Levin, who had criticised her position on the conflict between Israel and Iran.

Levin claimed that President Donald Trump had dismissed Greene’s warnings and proceeded to launch strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.

“Thankfully, POTUS ignored you and hit the Iranian nuclear sites. You seem very upset about it. I’m not going away. You’re on my radar,” Levin wrote.

In her response, Greene issued a pointed and sarcastic remark, implying that taking a stand against Israeli actions could endanger her life, as she claimed it did for Kennedy.

“I will do my best to pray for you. But I will be watchful now,” she said.

Greene, a known critic of U.S. foreign interventions, reiterated her anti-war position and questioned whether her stance would put her at personal risk.

“I oppose war, including wars that Israel wages. Should I feel that my life is in danger now too? What about President Trump, who strongly rebuked Israel this morning for continuing to attack Iran?”

She also condemned Levin’s remarks as “sick and disturbing,” and ended her response with a religious message that invoked Christian scripture and called for peace.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God. Jesus is the Messiah. Jesus is the one and only son of God. Jesus was put to death on a Roman cross and died as a one-time sacrifice for our sins.”

“Jesus is the lamb of God. You can read about Jesus in Isaiah 53:5–12. Jesus will return one day, and those that did not recognize him will mourn,” she wrote.

Her remarks have reignited long-standing conspiracy theories surrounding the 1963 assassination of President Kennedy. Kennedy was killed on November 22, 1963, while riding in a motorcade in Dallas, Texas.

The Warren Commission later concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in the killing. Oswald himself was murdered two days later by Jack Ruby, triggering decades of public speculation and alternative theories.

Greene’s comments come amid rising tensions between Israel and Iran.

On the same day, President Trump expressed frustration with both governments for breaching a ceasefire agreement he had recently brokered.

“They don’t know what they’re doing,” Trump said, adding that he was angered by Israel’s bombing of a radar site near Tehran shortly after the deal was reached.
