A massive fire broke out early Saturday morning, June 14, at the Barnabas Stage in the Pipeline area of Nakuru County following an explosion involving a fuel tanker.

The incident began when the tanker burst into flames, setting off a chain reaction that set alight two other nearby tankers.

The fire quickly spread, destroying several parked lorries, including petroleum carriers.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene to contain the blaze, which posed a serious threat to surrounding areas.

Two people were injured in the explosion and taken to hospital.

The Nakuru Nairobi Highway was temporarily closed due to the intensity of the fire, causing heavy traffic disruption and rendering the road impassable for several hours.

Local authorities, including the Nakuru County Government are yet to issue a statement over the incident.
