Kakwenza confirms child with Ex-Bobi Wine PR Manager Anne Whitehead

Controversial Ugandan writer and political activist Kakwenza Rukirabashaija has confirmed that he fathered a child with Anne Whitehead, a communications strategist best known for her previous role managing public relations for opposition leader Bobi Wine.

The revelation, which Kakwenza shared publicly, has quickly gained traction across social media and news platforms, sparking conversations about personal relationships within Uganda’s political and activist circles.

Kakwenza, known internationally for his outspoken criticism of President Yoweri Museveni’s regime and his harrowing accounts of torture while in state custody, made the announcement as part of a broader online conversation.

Without going into extensive personal detail, he acknowledged paternity and affirmed his responsibility to the child.

Anne Whitehead, who played a key role in shaping Bobi Wine’s public messaging during his rise as a formidable political opponent to Museveni, has not issued any public statement in response to Kakwenza’s remarks.

While the news has generated buzz, it has also drawn mixed reactions.
