In Summary

Villa will face a tough task at PSG if they are to take anything of consequence back home.

Aston Villa will be hopeful that a European season which has produced excellence will help them keep a robust Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) side at bay when they meet in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal at the Parc Des Princes Stadium in Paris tonight.

In the second quarter final tonight, Barcelona host Borussia Dortmund in Spain as they also seek to book a place in the last four of the competition.

Villa will face a tough task at PSG if they are to take anything of consequence back home.

The Parisians have already been confirmed as French Champions and will be looking forward to facing Villa knowing they beat English Premier League title hopefuls Liverpool in the last round.

Villa on the other side are on a seven game winning run in all competitions and Unai Emery's side have registered impressive wins against Bayern, Bologna, RB Leipzig and Celtic in the league phase of the Champions League this season before thrashing Club Brugge 6-1 on aggregate in the last 16.

The fixture should make for an interesting clash. Kick off 10 pm Kenyan time.

In Barcelona, confidence is high as they seek an unprecedented treble of trophies as the Blaugrana are still active in the Copa Del Rey in Spain and lead the Spanish La Liga.

A home clash against a tricky Dortmund side will not be taken lightly by head coach Hansi Flick.

"We have to be focussed and use our home ground advantage. It is important as Dortmund are an experienced side," Flick said of the match. Kickoff will be at 10 pm Kenyan time.

Barcelona haven’t lost a game in 2025, winning 18 games so far.

Before a recent draw with Real Betis, they had won seven in a row. In the Champions League, Flick’s team lost only once in the group stage.

Dortmund lost three games in the group stage, which saw them narrowly miss out on a top-eight spot.

When these two sides met earlier in the season in the UCL, Barca walked away as victors with a 2-3 win at Signal Iduna Park in Germany.
