A light aircraft crashed in a residential area in Mwihoko area, Githurai 45, Nairobi, on Thursday afternoon and burst into flames.
Githurai 45 Sub-County Police commander Maurice Odanga confirmed the incident but could not immediately confirm the number of casualties.
Amateur footage from the scene captured multiple security agencies, including police and military personnel, involved in the rescue operation.
Firefighters from the Kenya Defence Forces and the Kiambu County fire department worked jointly to extinguish the blaze that broke out upon impact.
