KRA to Auction outdated items in its warehouses

The Kenya Revenue Authority, KRA, in partnership with Phillips International Auctioneers, is set to hold an online auction to offload outdated items in its warehouses across the country.

The taxman said the auction will include a variety of items such as chairs, sofa sets, motor vehicle parts, office furniture, laboratory apparatus, and electronic devices.
Buyers will have the opportunity to inspect the items from March 11 to March 25 at designated locations in Nairobi, Eldoret, Kisumu, Nakuru, Nyeri, and Lodwar.
In Nairobi, interested buyers can view the items at the KRA Warehouse on Likoni Road and in the basement of Times Towers.
A variety of additional items will be available, including water dispensers, microwaves, damaged wooden desks and chairs, curtain boxes, plastic tanks, and various iron sheets.
In the North Rift region, goods will be showcased at the Eldoret Cereal Board Godown and Eldoret Airport. Items on offer include used tires and batteries, PVC pipes, Kyocera copiers, scrap metal, metal cabinets, and metal grilles.
Meanwhile, at the Lodwar KRA offices, available items will include office chairs, gypsum boards, and a photocopier.
The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced that all items in the upcoming auction will be sold on an ‘as-is, where-is’ basis, meaning buyers will be fully responsible for their condition upon purchase.
To guide interested participants, a virtual pre-bid session is scheduled for March 18, 2025, at 11 a.m. Buyers can obtain more details and access the auction through the official KRA and auctioneer websites.
