Students eyeing a place at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) have been alerted that only a few slots remain in 26 health-related programs, prompting the placement agency to call for early applications.
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has issued an update listing the diploma and certificate courses with limited spaces still open.
The listed programs fall under both certificate and diploma categories, offering students different paths to begin a career in healthcare.
KUCCPS is encouraging applicants to act quickly and apply before the deadline to avoid missing a spot.
The certificate courses include Health Records and Information Technology, Medical Emergency Technician, Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine, and Public Health.
On the diploma level, students can choose from programs such as Community Health, Emergency Medical Technology, and Health Insurance Management.
More specialized options like Nutrition and Dietetics, Medical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Physiotherapy, Radiography, and Speech and Language Therapy are also part of the courses with limited availability.
Each of these programs allows students to focus on a particular area of health care and is offered across various KMTC campuses.
KUCCPS has reminded applicants to check course availability by logging into the student portal.
"KUCCPS has advised applicants to carefully review the requirements for each program and check the availability of courses at their preferred KMTC campuses by logging into the students’ portal."
With the final application date set for April 30, 2025, the agency is urging students not to wait until the last minute.
"The final date for submission of applications is April 30, 2025, and KUCCPS has urged students to apply as soon as possible to ensure they secure a spot in their desired program."
