The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened its application portal for 2024 KCSE candidates to apply for degree courses in various universities.

In a statement on Friday, KUCCPS urged candidates to log in to the official portal and submit their applications before the set deadline.

"Attention 2024 KCSE cohort! You can now apply for degree courses via the KUCCPS official portal. Log in to http://students.kuccps.net and apply. Deadline: April 21, 2025," KUCCPS announced.

Candidates can access the application portal and select their preferred degree programs before the deadline on April 21, 2025.

A total of 246,391 students who met the university entry criteria have until April 21, 2025, to submit their applications through the portal.

The placement process includes 40 public universities, 29 private universities, and the Open University of Kenya (OPUK).

Students can also apply for courses in various training institutions, including Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), and Teachers Training Colleges (TTCs).

KUCCPS has urged interested students to apply through its student portal at student.kuccps.net.

Previously, KUCCPS had reopened its portal on February 26 for KMTC applications following an earlier application window that had been open from January 24 to February 14, 2025.

The agency stated that the reopening was meant to accommodate students who wanted to apply for the remaining slots in 21 KMTC courses for the March 2025 intake.

"All applicants who were not successful in the last application and others who would like to join KMTC in March 2025 are invited to apply," read part of the statement.
