City Hall rolls out land records update across Embakasi and Kasarani

The county is targeting properties that have not yet been captured in its official records.
Nairobi County Government has announced the start of a new drive to register properties into its Land Rates Database.
In a public notice issued on Saturday, Acting County Secretary and County Head of Public Service, Godfrey Akumali, urged landowners in Kasarani, Embakasi East, Embakasi West, Embakasi Central and Embakasi North to present their title documents for enrollment.
The county is targeting properties that have not yet been captured in its official records.
"During this period, relevant county officers will be stationed at the listed locations to offer land valuation, rates and other related services, including collecting customer views on the county rates and the payment process," Akumali stated.
Land title holders in Ruai and Njiru wards have been asked to present their documents to the Ruai Customer Care Centre, located near the offices of the Njiru Deputy County Commissioner and next to Embakasi Ranching Company.
Residents of Mwiki, Kasarani and Clay City wards are to visit the Kasarani Sub-County offices within the Kasarani DCC compound.
For Utawala, Mihang’o, Embakasi, Upper and Lower Savannah wards, the designated submission point is the Embakasi East Sub-County offices at the Embakasi Social Hall on Embakasi Road.
Landowners in Umoja Phases 1 and 2, Kariobangi South, and Mowlem wards under the KCC Settlement Scheme are directed to submit their documents to the Embakasi West sub-county offices along Church Road off Moi Drive in Umoja Phase 1.
In Embakasi Central, land title holders from Matopeni/Spring Valley, Kayole North, Kayole South, Kayole Central, and Komarock wards are to go to the sub-county offices along Spine Road in Kayole’s Stage One area.
Those in Embakasi North have been directed to the sub-county offices in Dandora Phase 1, formerly known as HDD offices, located next to Wamwari’s stage.
"Customers will be required to provide a copy of the title deed with the owner’s contact details indicated, a copy of their national identity card, and their KRA PIN Certificate (Kenya Revenue Authority Personal Identification Number Certificate) and a recently dated passport-sized photo," read part of the public notice.
Akumali encouraged title deed holders to take advantage of the decentralized service, emphasizing the importance of opening rate payment accounts during the specified period.
