PSC announces 38 security warden vacancies to strengthen parliament safety

In a public announcement issued on Tuesday, July 1, PSC called on disciplined individuals with a background in uniformed services to apply before the deadline of July 15, 2025.
The Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) has declared 38 job openings for security wardens to boost safety operations within and around Parliament Buildings.
In a public announcement issued on Tuesday, July 1, PSC called on disciplined individuals with a background in uniformed services to apply before the deadline of July 15, 2025.
According to the notice, the wardens will play a vital role in safeguarding Parliament by handling modern security systems and enforcing access controls.
Their duties will involve operating surveillance tools such as X-ray scanners, metal detectors, CCTV cameras, under-vehicle inspection systems, and bomb detection equipment.
They will also be responsible for monitoring both foot and vehicle access points, screening visitors, verifying their credentials, and maintaining entries in the Occurrence Book for investigative reference.
Eligible applicants must have scored at least a D+ in their KCSE exams and served in a uniformed service for a minimum of three years.
Direct recruits are expected to have completed relevant training under the parliamentary framework during their service.
“The new recruits will be central to maintaining a secure and safe parliamentary environment for all users,” the commission emphasized.
Applicants are required to submit a filled PSC job application form, a cover letter, academic documents, and other supporting credentials.
These forms are available on the Parliament website or can be collected from the Head of Commission Secretariat’s office at Parliament Buildings.
Submissions may be hand-delivered or emailed as per instructions in the PSC announcement.
