Court summons DCI boss over missing Kinoo blogger, orders July 3rd court appearance

Justice Mwita directed Amin to present himself in court on Thursday, July 3, 2025, to formally explain the circumstances surrounding Kinyagia’s disappearance.
Justice Chacha Mwita has ordered the Director of Criminal Investigations, Mohammed Amin, to appear in person before the Milimani High Court over the disappearance of Kinoo-based activist and blogger Ndiang’ui Kinyagia.
In a ruling issued on Tuesday, July 1, Justice Mwita directed Amin to present himself in court on Thursday, July 3, 2025, to formally explain the circumstances surrounding Kinyagia’s disappearance.
The judge noted that DCI officers were reportedly seen at the blogger’s home shortly before he went missing, saying the agency must now account for his whereabouts.
This latest court directive comes amid growing public concern over enforced disappearances and demands for accountability from state agencies.
