Upon arrival, Musalia’s team met Winnie Odinga, Raila Odinga’s daughter, who had accompanied her father during his medical treatment.
“Arrived safely in India with the Kenyan delegation to facilitate the repatriation of the body of the late Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga. We have secured his remains and completed all preparations for his return home,” Musalia said.

The aircraft carrying the former Prime Minister is scheduled to land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 9:30 am on Thursday, where President William Ruto will personally receive the body.
Earlier on Wednesday, President Ruto announced a seven-day national mourning period, directing that the national flag be flown at half-mast across Kenya and at all Kenyan missions abroad until the interment of Odinga.
