The placement agency urged all eligible 2024 KCSE candidates to log in and take advantage of this opportunity before the deadline.

Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates have until June 7 to revise their university and college choices, as the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has reopened its second and final revision period for 2025 placements.

The placement agency urged all eligible 2024 KCSE candidates to log in and take advantage of this opportunity before the deadline.

In a notice issued on Saturday, May 31, KUCCPS said the application system is open for students who have not applied or were not successful during the first revision.

The system will remain active for one week and is set to close on June 6.

“The KUCCPS application system is open for the second revision of university, college, and programme choices. KCSE holders who have not applied for courses or those who applied but were unsuccessful are invited to apply. The system will close on June 6, 2025,” the notice read.

Candidates from the 2024 KCSE cohort are required to log in to http://students.kuccps.net to access the system.

Once logged in, applicants must enter their KCSE index number, year of examination, and a password, which should be their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) index number or birth certificate number.

Applicants can scroll through the listed programmes and either add new choices or revise those selected during the first revision.

KUCCPS has reminded all eligible students that this is the final opportunity to secure placement into universities, colleges, and TVET institutions for the 2025 intake.

The announcement follows the closure of the first revision window on May 27.

KUCCPS had earlier opened the first revision on May 18 and issued a final reminder on May 27 urging students to submit their applications before midnight.

“Deadline Alert! KUCCPS application system closes tonight, May 27, 2025, for the first Revision of Choices to universities. Log in and apply,” the agency stated at the time.

KUCCPS had also confirmed that 2024 form four leavers who did not apply during the first round would be allowed to select their preferred programmes during the second revision.

When the application process first opened on March 28, KUCCPS announced that 40 public universities were eligible for government scholarships and Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) support, alongside 29 private universities eligible for HELB loans only, and 263 public colleges that qualify for both government scholarships and HELB.
