Kenya has named a team of four who will represent the country in the World Aquatics Championships to take place in Singapore this July.

The championships will take place from July 11 to August 3, 2025.

The team of four was named following the culmination of the Kenya National Aquatics Championships at the Kasarani Stadium over the weekend.

The team will be composed of two girls and two boys.

The team comprises of Sarah Mose, Imara Bella Thorpe, Daniel Kudwoli and Stephen Ndegwa.

Sara Mose will represent Kenya in the Freestyle event.

She earned her spot after clocking personal bests of 25.97 seconds in the 50m freestyle and 55.22 seconds in the 100m freestyle.

Joining her in the Freestyle event is Imara-Bella Thorpe, who competed in last year’s Aquatics Championship in Qatar, where she narrowly missed out on a semifinal slot.

Thorpe posted 27.96 seconds in the 50m freestyle and 1:01.55 in the 100m freestyle, securing her qualification once again.

The men's squad features Haniel Kudwoli, 19, whose specialty is in the breaststroke events.

He booked his ticket to Singapore with times of 29.32 seconds in the 50m breaststroke and 1:05.89 in the 100m category.

"I'm excited to be part of this team and I cannot wait to get to Singapore," he said in the aftermath of his qualification.

Kudwoli will be joined by Stephen Ndegwa, who clocked 25.55 seconds in the 50m butterfly to qualify for the championships.
