Head coach Simon Odongo is gearing up for the South African test after his charges put Madagascar to the sword in their first encounter over the weekend.
On Saturday, 7 June, Kenya Lionesses began their Rugby Africa Women’s Cup campaign on a high after they outsmarted a determined Madagascar side 28-5 in a match held at Stade Makis in Antananarivo.
The win against the home side was well deserved by the Lionesses who were the better side from kick-off.
They will take on the South Africans at the same venue. Kick off 1 PM Kenyan time. Their third match will be played on Sunday against the Ugandan Women's side.
The overall points winner following the match day will be declared the African Champions.
"Historically, South Africa have had very good results against us but we are hoping to change that history," Odongo said ahead of the clash.
The Women's African Cup for Rugby is currently taking place in Madagascar and will end on Sunday, 15 June, when the final points tallies will be known.
