Kenya will be looking to win back the Africa Sevens title when they take to the field this weekend in Mauritius as Africa's best sides clash at the Africa Sevens Championships.

Radio Generation Sport is happy to share the schedule for the 2025 Rugby Africa Men’s 7s, with the tournament kicking off today, June 21, at the Labourdonnais Sports Club in Port Louis, Mauritius.

The opening clash sees Zimbabwe take on Tunisia at 8:00 AM EAT before hosts Mauritius take on Madagascar from 8:22 AM EAT.

Kenya Morans begin their Pool A campaign at 9:28 AM EAT against Côte d’Ivoire, a team they last faced in 2024, cruising to a 22-5 win en route to the fifth-place final.

Their second game will be against Ghana at 12:12 PM EAT before closing out the group stage in a fiery East African derby against defending champions Uganda at 3:18 PM EAT.

While Kenya and South Africa are ineligible for promotion by virtue of their status as core teams in the HSBC SVNS, the top two other finishers will earn slots in the newly established HSBC SVNS Division 3, making this a golden opportunity for rising teams.

Last year, the Morans finished sixth after a mixed performance in the two-legged 2024 edition, also hosted at Labourdonnais Sports Club.

The tournament ran over two weekends, June 29–30 and July 6–7, and featured 12 teams, with Uganda emerging as overall winners under a series-based ranking system.
