Bayern Munich extend Bundesliga lead to six points

Bayern Munich needed a brace from Leroy Sane Saturday to break past St Pauli 3-2 and reopen a six-point lead atop the German Bundesliga standings.
Bayern, whose lead over Bayer Leverkusen was down to three points following their rivals' 3-1 win over VFL Bochum on Friday night, struggled to break down a stubborn St Pauli side whose doggedness was obvious as they are hoping to escape relegation this season.
Jamal Musiala set up Harry Kane to open the scoring on 17 minutes, meaning Kane has now scored against every side he has faced in Germany.
The away side, however, got back into the game just ten minutes later when Elias Saad struck home, finishing a Manolis Saliakas cross to silence the Allianz Arena.
Sane though, who has been linked with a move away from Bayern in the Summer, came through on 53 and 71 minutes to give the title chasers a 3-1 lead.
Lars Ritzka gave St Pauli a second goal in injury time but it was too late to force a comeback as Bayern secured three points.
Bayern have 65 points from 27 matches played. Leverkusen are second on 59 with seven matches left to play.
