Tusker FC striker and top scorer Ryan Ogam has undergone meniscus surgery and will be out for the remainder of the KPL season.

Ogam was injured during the Brewers 1-1 draw with Shabana in late February and has been out of action while seeking doctor's advice on the way forward regarding his injury.

He has now undergone successful surgery and is in recovery mode.

Tusker announced Monday that Ogam would be out but did not specify for how long.

Typically, meniscus injuries take between six and nine months to heal.

"Wishing a quick recovery to our top scorer Ryan Wesley Ogam, who has undergone a minor procedure for a meniscus tear. Quick recovery, Rayo; we can’t wait to have you back," the Brewers said in a statement.

The injury will be a huge blow for the 20 year old who joined Tusker from Rainbow FC at the beginning of this season. He has so far scored 15 league goals for the Brewers.

Ogam, had in the recent January transfer window been linked with a move away from the Ruaraka club but it failed to materialize.

Algerian side, USM Alger had been interested in the striker but failed to agree with Tusker on a deal.

Similarly, Ogam had been linked with Swedish top tier side Östersund, but the deal also fell through.
