Visiting Somali side Mogadishu City FC will take on Kenya Premier League side Nairobi United in a friendly match, Tuesday, as both sides gear up for continental competition.
The two will battle at the Dandora Stadium in Nairobi on Tuesday morning as they gear up for continental action later this week.
Mogadishu will play Kenya Premier League champions Kenya Police FC in their first-round preliminary round CAF Champions League qualifier at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi Saturday, 20 September, with the return leg at the same venue on 28 September.
On the other hand, Nairobi United, who will play in the CAF Confederations Cup qualifiers, beginning the same day. They will battle Uganda's NEC in their preliminary round first leg match in Kampala on Saturday. The return leg will be played in Nairobi a week later.
The match will kick off at 10.00 local time.
“This match will serve as adequate practice and will give us a feel of what a Kenyan Premier League side looks like," Mogadishu City Coach Daadir Ali told Radio Generation Sport.
Mogadishu City arrived in Nairobi Friday last week and have been camping in the city ahead of their much anticipated clash against Police. They arrived in Kenya from Tanzania, where they participated in the CECAFA Kagame Cup, where they just about failed to qualify for the semifinals.
During the Kagame Cup, Mogadishu City FC drew 1-1 with Sudan's Al Hilal, drew 0-0 with South Sudan's Kator and beat Al Ahli Medina 2-1.
The two-legged clash between Mogadishu City and Police will kick off at 4 pm local time.
